Scope of Symposium
Ferromagnetic and multiferroic materials show unique magnetic and magnetotransport properties at the nanometer or submicron scale. The objective of this symposium is to discuss the latest developments in magnetic nanostructures and devices, ranging from fundamental aspects of nanomagnetism and spin transport, to applications in magnetic recording, data storage, memory and spintronic devices. Topics to be covered include but are not limited to novel magnetic/multiferroic material growth and characterization, semiconductor-based spintronics, mesoscopic and quantum spin transport, magnetoresistive and spin transfer devices, magnetic nanostructures and nanoparticles, and domain wall characterization and dynamics.
